About the award
The Extraordinary Experience is considered the most coveted award of the Global Youth Travel Awards event each year and is the final award presented during the ceremony.
The award serves to remind us of the core values of our industry; providing positive, rewarding and memorable experiences that young people can carry into the future.
Eligibility
Open to all youth travel providers.
Concept
Please provide information about a young person who has had an extraordinary overseas experience through your organisation. Examples might include a young person who has volunteered or worked in the developing world, climbed the Himalayas, learnt an exotic language or engaged in a valuable way with another culture.
Criteria
Entries are judged on what the individual put into their experience and what they took away from it. Originality, inspiration, and tangible engagement with the host culture are all important factors.
